Complaints Procedure

Homeowner in Richmond photographing a leaking pipe under a kitchen sink before requesting an estimate

Last updated: October 2026

We want every homeowner who reaches Apparentlyautomatic Plumbing to be treated fairly and honestly. If something went wrong, tell us. This page shows how to make a complaint and what happens next. It is a general template and is not legal advice.

What You Can Tell Us About

You can write to us about:

  • Your experience when you called or contacted Apparentlyautomatic Plumbing
  • How your personal information was handled
  • Anything on this site that looks unclear or wrong
  • The conduct of a plumber we connected you with

When the Problem Is With a Provider

Plumbers in our network are independent businesses. They answer for their own estimates, prices, work and customer service. If you are unhappy with work done in your home, a good first step is usually to raise it with the plumber directly and keep a written record.

We still want to hear about it. Feedback on providers helps keep our network honest, and providers who repeatedly fall short of our expectations may be removed. Please know that Apparentlyautomatic Plumbing cannot settle contract disputes, refund money for a provider's work or make decisions for a provider.

Sending Your Complaint

Email contact@apparentlyautomatic.garden and include:

  • Your name and a way to reach you
  • The date you contacted us or the plumber
  • The phone number you called or the form you used, if you remember
  • The provider's name, if you know it
  • A clear account of what happened and what you would like us to do

After You Write

We will confirm receipt by email, usually within a few business days. We will look into what happened, which may include contacting the provider. Then we will reply with what we found and any steps we are taking.

If You Still Feel Unheard

If our answer does not satisfy you, reply and ask us to take another look. You can also contact your state's consumer protection office or attorney general, or your local Better Business Bureau. For concerns about plumbing work itself, your state or local plumbing licensing board may be able to help.
